Our Helpline deals with thousands of people every year, mainly via telephone and email, but also via letter and social media platforms. As the Helpline has grown, the need for us to improve our monitoring systems has grown with it.
We regularly deal with people who wish to remain anonymous, and we also deal with many complex individual cases, so it’s important that we’re able to easily record and monitor all our activities, while being able to record specific details to help us when working through more complex cases. It’s also really important for our funding that we’re able to demonstrate who we help and what we do.
So the time has come for us to look into a new recording system. We’re looking to implement a new Contact Management System (CMS).
Alongside looking at off-the-shelf options, to try to keep costs down, and to try and develop something that works specifically for our needs, we’re putting a call out for pro-bono support from those with skills in developing bespoke CMS who want to give some free support to us.
