Ruth Davies | Digital and communications manager
Ruth is the Digital and communications manager at Unlock. Her role includes coordinating Unlock’s digital presence to ensure that we reach as many people as possible and help them to self-serve digitally, optimising digital tools to improve engagement – websites, video, communications, email and social media. She is also responsible for creating communications that raises the voice and experiences of people with criminal records, increases awareness of Unlock’s work and supports our policy and influencing work to challenge the stigma and discrimination that people face.
Ruth joined Unlock in 2020. Ruth leads communications activity at Unlock, as well as the development and implementation of the charity’s digital strategy. Prior to joining Unlock, Ruth worked in the communications team at SafeLives; a UK-wide charity dedicated to ending domestic abuse. Having begun her career at a tech startup, Ruth has a passion for all things digital, and uses this expertise to develop Unlock’s online platforms and communication channels.
