About Unlock

We first began operating informally in 1998. In January 2000, Unlock finally achieved charitable status.

We do not give grants or financial rewards.

As a charity, we exist to help people who have accepted what they have done, and are now wishing to lead a law-abiding life. If you maintain your innocence, we will point you in the direction of organisations that may be able to help you take that matter forward. We will also be able to provide advice on moving on with life with a criminal record.
