Unlock reports on another successful year

Unlock is delighted to publish the Unlock Annual Report 2016/2017 which describes our impact including:

  • feedback from people we have helped: “changed my life actually“, “you have given me hope“, “you are making a very positive contribution to the goal of rehabilitating offenders
  • dealing with 6569 enquiries to our helpline – a 35% increase on the previous year
  • a 54% increase in the number of unique visits to our Information Hub – up to over 1.3 million
  • increased use of all our other online resources –Disclosure Calculator, Forum and e-magazine (TheRecord)
  • developing our work with employers – giving them the information they need (including developing our Recruit! website) and persuading them to make changes in their recruitment practices
  • supporting and training 12 volunteers who gave back 3200 hours of their time, allowing us to keep the helpline open every week-day
  • delivering 16 criminal records disclosure training courses for other people who provide information, advice and support for people with convictions, including prison resettlement teams, probation officers and other charity workers
  • consulting with our users to provide information, evidence and responses to government and other decision-makers.
