Chris Bath is the Director of Projects at UNLOCK, the National Association of Reformed Offenders. He joined the charity in 2005 to lead a pilot project opening bank accounts for prisoners prior to release. He has developed financial capability training in collaboration with prisoners, going on to train staff and peer supporters working in many prisons and charities. Chris has also been responsible for developing access to insurance for people with unspent convictions and continues to promote the financial needs of reformed offenders with trade bodies such as the BBA and ABI.

Chris has represented UNLOCK on radio, television and the press. He is a member of the NOMS Finance, Benefit and Debt Board for the South East. He is currently working to encourage partnerships between banks and prisons on pre-release banking and is involved in research into the effects of the criminal justice system on financial exclusion.

Chris has previously spent time working in sales, marketing and management consultancy in businesses varying from small family concerns to international blue-chip. He graduated with First Class Honours from Warwick Business School.
